【FOREWORD】 2006’ CHINA (WUHAN) INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION EXPO is to be held at Wuhan—— a city located in Central China in 2006 for purpose of promoting and introducing advanced domestic and international education resources, cultivating inter-disciplinary talents, promoting internationalization proceeding of China’s higher education, constructing platform of exchange and cooperation for universities, consultation and training institutions home and abroad, performing exchange and cooperation in terms of education concept, education management, training, teaching and modern means of education and providing public with latest, direct and authoritative education information and development at home and abroad.
Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province and the biggest metropolitan in central China, is the center of economy, science and cultural communication of central China. Being the starting point of western China, Wuhan possesses outstanding geographical advantage, about 300km from Jingzhou, Yichang, Shiyan, Xiangfan, Xiaogan and Huangshi of Hubei, and aproximately 600km from Changsha, Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Nanchang, Jiujiang and Hefei of neighboring provinces. About 60 universities and colleges in the city with over 600 thousand enrolled students make it the biggest university complex in central China. In addition it has 50 research institutions. Additionally there are 1, 807 primary and middle schools with 1, 175, 296 enrolled students till 2003, including 122 senior high schools with 154, 428 students, 416 junior high schools with 397, 577 students and 1, 269 primary schools with 623, 291 pupils; there are 621 preschool education schools with 102, 452 students. For this the city becomes the education center of central China in a real sense. What’s more, its economic level comes out on top of central China, no wonder it becomes the key recruitment area for domestic and international universities year by year.
According to statistics of the Education Bureau of Hubei Province, in 2005 Hubei has 458, 679 registered applicants for college entrance examination (CEE), increasing by 86, 111 compared with that of 2004, 148, 310 registered applicants for CEE Arts, increasing by 30, 596 compared with that of 2004, 270, 583 science registrants, increasing by 41, 062 compared with that of 2004, in which 375, 707 are this year's graduates taking 81.9% of the total, while 82, 972 are former year's graduates taking 18.1%, in all, the total number of registrants increases 23.1% compared with that of 2004, making 2005 the year with most increase. However, only 10 thousand recruitments are added under national plan, it is estimated that this situation will continue in coming years.
Statistically, number of CEE registrants in Wuhan totals 70, 156 in 2005, 14, 641 more than that of 2004, up by 26.4%, including 35, 747 and 16, 550 applicants for Science and Arts respectively, 7, 656 examinees for secondary vocational schools, 7, 846 for art, 1, 922 for P.E., 427 double feature examinees (English and Computer Network Technology Teaching), and 8 juvenile examinees for university juvenile class. One official from Wuhan Recruitment Office predicts that the number will continue to climb up in the coming two years.
In recent years, studying abroad becomes hot in Wuhan, Hubei Education Bureau and related departments of Wuhan Municipal Education Bureau have co-sponsored education week with France, Japan and UK for several times and achieved a favorable social effect; EduFrance has been founded in Wuhan for years and visa center of British Embassy in China was founded in Wuhan in June 2005 to facilitate communication with students to study abroad in central China. More and more phenomena indicate there will be greater potential for overseas study market in Hubei.
Schools from France, UK, Singapore, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Holland, Sweden and Sino-foreign Cooperative Schools participated in the Education exposition of 2005 and have achieved expectations. As required by exhibitors, we have made a close schedule on the address and time to ensure an expected exhibition; this international education exposition will be held together with 2006’ University Recruitment Consultation Conference (Wuhan) of China, (over 300 universities from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao participated in and 40 thousand parents and students attended 2005’ Recruitment Consultation Conference), the holding date of which is the right time for publishing of CEE score and the right opportunity for students to select schools. More detailed and latest school and recruitment information will be given to graduates, on-campus students and parents.
To give attendance opportunities to more students and parents, a free of charge face-to-face meeting (to be informed in advance) shall be arranged between participating universities and colleges and students and parents in Wuhan Shangrila Hotel on July 1 (Saturday morning of the week) after the closing on June 28-29 (Wednesday and Thursday), each school being provided with a desk and two chairs and other related articles.

【PROCEDURE】
1. Exhibitor shall fill in Exposition Contract and affix official seal and then mail or fax them to Organizing Committee. And Exposition Sponsor will mail a written confirmation to Exhibitor.
2. Exhibitor shall remit relevant exposition charge to appointed account within seven days upon registration.
3. All exhibitors shall follow such principle that “first registered and paid shall have priority”, Organization Committee has right to cancel or displace unpaid booths till all booths are engaged.
4. The Sponsor will mail Exhibitor Manual consisting of detailed schedule, transport, platform design and setting, travel and accommodation, material renting and waiter service, advertisement, visa application, weather forecast and any other service information to exhibitor upon exhibition booth confirmation, universities and colleges requesting pick up service shall contact organization committee five days ahead, all related costs shall be borne by exhibitors themselves.
5. Exhibitor shall detail all information like height setting and special requirements in Exposition Contract.
6．Organization Committee will prepare English and Chinese lintel board subject to contracts of registered universities and colleges.
